Meet a Hanoi IELTS Tutor: Mai K.

Mai grew up in Ho Chi Minh City, then moved to the United States with her family when she was twelve. From a very young age, Mai dreamed of performing on stage in the theater. She was active in her high school drama club and starred in numerous plays and musicals. Mai obtained a very high SAT score, and combined with her extracurricular activities and impressive grades, she was able to attend the University of Southern California, known around the world for their star-producing drama department. After graduating, Mai accepted a job teaching drama at a private high school. She also returned to the University of Southern California to obtain a master's degree in education, as well as a TESOL certificate. Mai hoped to one day combine her passion for the stage with her desire to help others achieve their own successes.

After a few years, Mai was invited to teach drama and English in Hanoi. It wasn't long before she joined the team at Manhattan Review, and she loves helping students master the English they need to excel on tests such as the TOEFL and IELTS.
