Meet a Hanoi TOEFL Tutor: Arjun V.
Arjun V. was born in Mumbai, India, and lived there for the first twelve years of his life until his father accepted a position with a large tech company in Silicon Valley. Arjun loved working with computers and quickly became skilled at developing his own app-based games and programs. Arjun worked very hard in high school and obtained an impressive ACT score, which allowed him to attend Princeton University, where he majored in computer science. After graduating from Princeton, Arjun went on to obtain a master's degree in computer science, as well as a TESOL certificate, from the University of California at Los Angeles. After graduating, he was very happy to accept a position with a large non-profit organization focused on improving access to technology in underserved areas around the world.
Arjun traveled the world for more than ten years, living in Bali, India, Korea, and Sri Lanka before eventually settling in Hanoi. While he loved his work with computers, he also enjoyed helping others learn, and he knew firsthand how important a knowledge of the English language could be. Arjun soon joined the team at Manhattan Review, and his students appreciate his patience, as well as his clear explanations. When Arjun isn't setting the next generation of college students up for their own successes, he can be found visiting art galleries with friends and watching the night sky with his telescope.
